WIND COMPONENT TABLE

The table below provides a quick and easy way to approximately deduce wind component that will affect the aircraft on take off and landing, to use simply collect the wind speed in knots, and the difference between the runway heading and the wind direction. Once these two figures are known the component can be deduced, the wind speed column is fixed and by selecting either the crosswind or head wind differences in wind and runway direction, the approximate wind component is provided.
